Dogpatch - what's going on?

Maya Mar 23, 2007 09:45 AM

I just read the Piccino report and it made me wonder what other good things are going on over in Dogpatch. I went to a little biodynamic wine bar there a few months ago, and I know that good breakfast place is there, and the soul food joint (can't remember ANY of those names, wow).

Any other spots? This neighborhood intrigues me and I wonder how much better it might get with the 3rd street line starting up.

I think the breakfast place is Just For You Cafe.

LOVE JFYC. Their biscuits are sinfully delish. It rivals Dotties, and the wait isn't nearly so bad.

There's also The Ramp and Misson Rock if you want something on the water.

That's right - Yields and Just for You and Hard Knox. Are those pretty much the sum of it for now down in Dogpatch?

Okay, since you asked a second time, I'll give up a local residents secret - Jolt 'n Bolt 2325 Third Street. You'll never find it unless you know its there, have the address, look & look and don't give up.

Its good, its cheap. The baked goods are tasty.

The Jolt n Bolt croissants are delicious! Just don't get coffee there.

Is Sundance Coffee related to that newish place on 24th Street? I've been wanting to drop in there, it's a very airy, inviting space.

Yes, the branch in the Mission is their second store.
