Star Walk

  • 2

Their website isn't of much help so I hope you fellow chowhounds can help me out.

I am thinking of going to the Star Walk Buffet (around the Pacific Mall) for lunch this weekend. A couple of questions for you...

Is the Star Walk within walking distance of the Pacific Mall (and where exactly is it located when you leave the mall)?

What do they have for their luncheon buffet and what time in the afternoon would it start to get crowded?

Thanks!!

  1. Professorhiro,

Q1: Star Walk is within walking distance to Market Village and Pacific Mall. Its not a pleasant walk though, since its mostly gravel and stones and the walkway is mostly not paved (on Steeles). Its about a 10-15 minute walk--you'd walk up Silver Star (about 5 minutes), cross the street to go onto Steeles (5 minutes) and walk into the parking lot of Market Village. From there, you'll be able to go to Pacific Mall since the two buildings share the same parking lot.

Q2: Lunch buffet is special in that it has dim sum. Dinner buffet does not. It also has sushi, but no sashimi, whereas the dinner one does. It also has all the regular food station items.. chicken wings, stir fries, noodles, fried rice, that sorta thing. But no special dinner items such as crab legs, other kinds of seafoods...

Q3: I'd say it pretty much gets crowded within the half hour it starts the lunch.. so around 12ish, especially on a weekend. But I havent gone in a while, so someone else could correct me on that if thats not accurate.

    Hope this helps.

Stra Walk is a pretty good chinese buffet...lots of little grill stations that cook up the stuff right in front of you. Lots of fresh fruits for dessert. all for a reasonable price.
