where can I buy preserved lemons for Pesach dish?
I'm gonna hit y'all up for Pesach entrees soon enough, but in the meantime, I know there has to be a good Moroccan shop around here where I can buy preserved lemons? And Za'atar? I'm in Long Beach, but I'm willing to schlep...thank you, Chowhounds!

Just so you know, they are ridiculously easy to make and they save in the fridge for a long time. Check this post if you want to try:

You can search Persian/Turkish/Etc. stores in your area, but if you have enough time go on the internet! There are tons of sites that sell some great products and really great preserved lemons... they will get them to you quick too! Or make your own... I've got a recipe if your interested.

re: IrishChef
Thanks, Irish Chef, for the recipe offer. I have several (and I'm happy to take yours) I'm just afraid I've run out of time to make my own if I want them for an April 3rd Seder...best to just buy them. Can you recommend a brand of preserved lemons I can get over the web? Thanks!

re: badhomecook
Yeah totally agree with some of the other suggestions. There are some simple quick methods of making your own preserved lemons, but I personally like to take the time and make my own (3-4 weeks). But check out zamourispices.com, they have a great product for $8 and cookshop.com has them too.
