Help with Momofuku menus

Ok, I know this might sound dumb, but I don't live in the city any more and I'm having a hard time keeping up with the all the changes at Momofuku, both the Noodle Bar and the Ssam Bar.

I would like to head down there for lunch on the weekend and really want the pork buns (the memory of the last time I had them is fading...) but I'm also interested in trying about the ssam bar. Do they have the buns at lunch at the Ssam bar? Or just the Noodle Bar?

Also, does it get crowded at weekend lunchtime?

Yes, they do have buns at the Ssam bar. I would try the ssam bar if you have not yet, it's really great! I'm sure it gets crowded, but if you don't go at a peak time, you'll be fine.

Re: Pork buns at Ssam bar. Someone correct me if I am wrong...but last I remember...

Before 6pm - they only serve shredded berkshire pork shoulder buns
After 6pm - they only serve pork belly buns

I thought that MSB serves only pork belly buns; MNB serves only shredded pork buns. We know that the latter is true, and I've been to ssam bar early and late and only seen belly.

IMO, the shredded pork ones are much better. (Maybe I'm spoiled from WD-50's treatment of pork belly...)

agreed - the shredded pork is better and the WD~50 treatment of pork belly is something really, really special.
