Visiting from England and need recommendations

Can anyone recommend reasonably priced casual restaurants (Steak/ribs/chinese) in the following places:

Ventura, Santa Monica, Monterey, Pismo Beach, San Francisco, Cabazon.

At the risk of sounding like a Philastine we like The Outback, Sizzlers and Logans Roadhouse when we go to Florida.

The last couple of Octobers, we've visited Tarpy's Roadhouse, near the Monterey Airport.
Great food and service, moderate prices, fine selection, steak, lamb seafood. Good spot

Was just in Monterey 2 weeks ago, and had an amazing dinner at Stokes. The food, the ambience and the service were just wonderful, I highly recommend it:

hmmm - some musts when coming to california. make sure you take a stop at in-n-out, the best burger in california. for some sit down restaurants, (if u have kids) go to rubys, or johnny rockets, its fun and pretty good. for steak, go to lonestar, any questions, im open for it. :)
