Best Fast Lunches in Charlottesville

Cville Mel Mar 22, 2007 09:51 AM

I'm inspired by this topic as I eat my newest favorite lunch, The Italian, from Feast. I learned about this particular sandwich by reading about it in a local weekly paper. It is a "trio of Italian deli meats, provolone, olive relish, mayo/mustard, lettuce" on a baguette. I went out of my way to get it today as I had a craving.

My other current favorites include:

Falafel from Aroma's, also the Mediterranean salad w/ grilled chicken

Butter chicken curry from Just Curry

Birdwood, no onions, from Bellair Market

What is your favorite quick lunch in Charlottesville? I'm looking for specific dishes to try, not just lunch spots. I know I've left out the downtown mall since I don't work down there, but let me know what you crave when you're down there, too.

I will always love Bodo's chicken salad on an everything bagel.

Avocado Feta slice or steak calzone from Christian's Pizza.

Thai 99's Drunken Noodles or Cashew Chicken.

    The Farmington at Bellair Market.

    Lockey's Best at Durty Nelly's.
