Hi all. I have been placed on a budget for next Tuesday night dinner with my buddy. Although I have an ever-expanding list of more pricey spots that I can't keep up with, I need something different on this night. Love to here some ideas. "Cheap Eats" list stuff, personal faves, hidden gems et. al welcomed. Thanks

    Province (Chinese sandwiches, BYO)
    Mooncake Foods (Diner-style Chinese-influenced dishes)
Lupe's East LA Kitchen (Homestyle Mexican)

Totally forget about Ivo and Lulu!! Fabulous, fabulous and it's BYOB. It's French Caribbean. Most things on the menu are under $10. You won't regret it!

      585 Broome St

Also, Alta (W. Village) is awesome! Great tapas. We went there recently with a group of 11 and couldn't decide what to get since everything sounded so good, so we ordered everything off the menu -- "The Whole Sha'bang" (literally, that's what it's called) and it was around $300 - but split 11 ways, it was a deal!

Have a great time, I'm sure I"ll think of more...

There are so many! The price of the meal will obviously depend on if you get get booze. Help us narrow it down by cuisine, neighborhood. Some that I can think of off the top of my head are Do Hwa (Korean in the W. Village), Nha Trang (Vietnamese in China Town), Momofuko (noodles in E. Village), Fatty Crab (W. Village), Frank (Italian in E. Village), Da Andrea (Italian in W. Village)... I can go on and on...

Sometimes these are the best spots! What part of town would you like to stay near or prefer?
