I was wondering if anyone else had tried Lolonis wines?

I've tried the zinfandel and it is dreamy.

from what ive read, lolonis winery cultivates their grapes using all organic methods. i.e. no chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. their explanation is that they use ladybugs that get rid of the predators naturally as well as by using cover crops.

if anything, the Lolonis zinfandel is worth a try. i would like to try other wines from Lolonis, and wanted to see if there were any suggestions?

also any information on restaurants that serve Lolonis in the Los Angeles or NYC area would be much appreciated!

I recently had their Petite Sirah at a restaurant at Table 8 in Miami Beach. I new I was in for a treat just sniffing the glass. It was spectacular. I've enjoyed their Zinfandal for years.

Not familiar with Lolonis, but really good organic grape farming tends to produce 'pure' fruit flavors. If you really want something unique, try Coturri wines. These guys farm organically, but add no chemicals in their winemaking (labels do not say 'contains sulfites'). The aromas and flavors are pretty amazing, though some can be almost dessert-like in their fruitiness. Lack of chemical stabilization can cause 'off botles' from time to time, but the vast majority are a treat.
