  1. Here's a link from Robyn, a great food blogger who is going on a macaron hunt in NY soon:

I've heard great things about Tisserie...

    1. well, i don't really like french macaroons..something about the crumbly-but-chewy cookies that i don't love. but coconut macaroons are amazing - my favorite of which happens to be Danny Macaroons ( you can find them at a bunch of coffee shops in the city - i usually buy them from gimme coffee on mott st.

Thanks - you've linked an address. Can we go to 23rd Street and get these macaroons there, or do they only distribute to other businesses?

not sure. the website ( has a map with the coffee shops that the macaroons are sold at and it also says you can order by emailing or calling, but i don't know if there's anything on 23rd street (23rd street isn't on the map of locations though...).

just noticed today that the macaroons are apparently available at 23rd and broadway. there's a marker on benvenuto caffe.... i don't ever really go to madison square park area so i haven't been there and cant confirm, but that's what the site says... anyone know?

Had delicious DannyMacaroons today at Gimme Coffee on Lorimer St in Brooklyn. The people there were great and I actually had to have caramel, chocolate and german chocolate. Perfetto!
