Spanish with vegetarian?

I'll be coming out to NY from SF in about a month, and I'm starting to plan out some of my meals. Looking at some upper-mid-range restaurants, someone had mentioned Bolo to me. Don't know too much, seems to get mixed but generally positive reviews on this board.

My girlfriend's vegetarian (though I am not), and I do see several options on the online menu, but thought I'd float it out here. I like the idea of Spanish, as she studied a bit in Spain, so would be fun to take her.

If not Bolo, any better recommendations in this rough price range? I hear good things about Casa Mono, but their posted menu doesn't strike me as too vegetarian-friendly!

Not wedded to Spanish, so if anyone has another killer "don't-miss-this" recommendation, open to that too, but thought I'd start here.

Thanks!

You might like La Paella on East 9th Street in the Village. LOTS of veggie tapas options, although I haven't been there in years. I do remember the sangria being killer...

might want to try Tia Pol--good tapas, always a good idea so you can have some meat, if you want it. decent selection of moderate cavas, if you like that sort of thing.

Thanks, checked out the menu, looks good, pretty positive reviews on this board . . .

I see an active "Vegetarian in NYC" thread going on right now too, so I'll monitor that also!
