Drove by last week and noticed a number of handwritten signs in the windows stating "restaurant closed." Any posters know if it's permanent or just temporary? It would be a shame if it were the former.

There have been a few "bussing person needed" signs in their windows over the last couple of weeks. Alarmed by your post I swung by this morning, and am happy to report there were no signs in the windows and everything looked normal. If they closed it would be a great loss.

I hope not! Although, since we found this place, my husband and I go there every year when we visit Boston. This past November, however, we had a reservation for 7:30 and were (and remained) the only customers. It was a Friday evening. So sad. The owners were sitting at a table, eating their dinner outside the kitchen. Their wines went up $2/glass since our previous visit. The food is still great, though. We had the grilled calamari and steak pizzaoli....wonderful.
