My mom is coming in town in a couple weeks and I want to take her out to good, memorable dinner. I live in Hermosa Beach, so I was thinking the Donald Trump golf course for proximity and of course, the views. Which would you recommend? Cafe Pacifica is a little less upscale, but has more of a menu - I know for Trump's the men have to wear sports coats and is very pricey. Is Trump's really worth the price?

I have had some very good meals at Cafe Pacifica and I think it is a better deal than the more formal restaurant side for lunch or dinner. On the weekend though, the formal side does have a fantastic although very pricey brunch (~$80 pp)

Champagne, caviar, crab legs, sushi, omelette & pasta station, etc. Good quality and slightly better value if you avoid filler like potatoes and bread
