Sugar Cane in TO. Where??

Hey all

I had something at a Vietnamese resto the other day that had a sort of shrimp fritter around a sugar cane skewer. It was great.

Now I want to use SC as a skewer for some stuff now that BBQ season is just around the corner.

Years ago on a school trip to Kensington, I bought a piece but don't know if they still carry it.

Does anyone know and of any other places??

Thanks
DT

I've seen Sugar cane at the following places:

    Chinatown on Spadina (several places)
    T&T
Basement store in St. Lawrence south market.

Try the West Indian stores around Eglinton & Oakwood (lots of stores) or the W.I. store on West side of Bathurst just north of the streetcar/bus/subway at Bloor Street. I have also seen it at Price Chopper in the Galleria Mall (Dupont & Dufferin)

Saw some at the Supercentre at Don Mills and Eglinton last week.
