Late delivery options in Playa del Rey? Menus online?

OK, that's two questions. What's open late (how late-ish) for delivery, and any menu resources to recommend besides menupages.com?

Also would love recs for what to get from where. For instance, I see menupages lists Cantalini as delivering. What's good there? (I went there once but it was unremarkable. Would reconsider for delivery though.)

  1. sorry my previous post was useless... i concur that cantalini isn't good...

    1. imho, the only edible item at cantilini is their spumoni.
would not consider having them deliver it.

      1. I've seen Jerry's Deli tootin' around the neighborhood in their delivery trucks....only thing I'd order from there is soup or the burger (TERIYAKI) with onion rings and a side of ranch dressing. hard to screw those up (although they overcook the burgers almost every time I've had it).

i'd rather walk up to the 24 hour donut shop in that minimall though.

I always get ads for those Thai Beer, etc type places...i remember when I was at LMU we always ordered from there lateish.

Jerry's Deli - that's a good idea - didn't realize they delivered over here. Ages ago in MDR I ordered out chicken soup when I was under the weather.

So the donut place is 24 hrs.? Hmmmm. :) We get a lot of flyers for different Asian places, some way out in Culver City. But there are restaurants around Washington Blvd. that consider Playa out of their delivery area - we're kind of in a nook over here by ourselves, so it's hard to tell right off whether someplace is likely to deliver - unless they've previously left a flyer.

            Yeah...Yum Yum.....they have crossaint sandwhiches...beats AM/PM.

Those thai delivery places...i've gotten before....what time were you thinking of? Tower Pizza maybe? dunno what time they deliver until.

Actually, just like ordering 9pm or 10pm - not hard-core 3am or anything like that. Oh, I should mention - they don't deliver but as far as restaurants around here open *relatively* late, the Spanish tapas place on Culver, The Minotaure, has supposedly got some decent late hours.

Actually, if you order right at Cantalini's, they're pretty good. They've got a new pizza chef, and the pastas are good. They won't drown veggies in oil if you ask them not too. They're delivery service is not always available. Try Berri's Cafe. They deliver until 11:00 pm most nights. Szechwan Palace has adequate Chinese food and I've had them deliver as late as 9:30 pm. I think Vinny's Pizza which is over near Bristol Farms delivers late also. Finally, Tandoor-a-India delivers until 10:00.

          2. You might want to try Truxton's (Manchester & Truxton). I believe they deliver until 10pm or at least have plans on starting up a delivery service soon. 310-417-8789.

I've had the Peppered Ahi tuna steak, Thai Cobb salad, sweet potatoe fries, all good, but not mind blowing.

              1. Delivery times will generally be later on weekends...

26 Beach should deliver to you until 9:30p/10:30p. CPK til 10p/11p.

                Italy's Little Kitchen (Lincoln/Manchester) til 10p, maybe11p

THOSE are helpful, thank you! (CPK delivers now? Or do you mean pick-up? Or via a non-CPK delivery service.)

                  1. re: Cinnamon

I'm not sure if CPK has their own delivery service, but I do know they deliver through labite.com.

Love 26 Beach - I actually ordered from their via phone once and then drove there myself to pick up since it was on the way home, and all the people there kept pushing their delivery service "you know we deliver, right?" :)

                2. Update: Truxton's does deliver. Their menu: http://www.truxtonsamericanbistro.com... is a little irritating, the one on menupages is easier to view: http://losangeles.menupages.com/resta....
