Best Conejo Valley restaurants?

sbbulldog Mar 19, 2007 09:25 PM

Just got totally shut down for rez at Mastro's. I'm not overly excited by any chain, well, other than Craft, mebbe, but

Where else in TO or Westlake, or nearby? For Saturday night, decent hour, like 6-7pm.

I felt as if the reservationist at Mastro's was ill equipped to deal. She freely admitted that they'd be empty at 5pm, but no rezzies were available. OTOH, she stated that they take 5pm rez'z. Both can't be true, or can they?

Other than drive an hour to eat early at the bar, what other local resaturants put out foodie quality food? Wine friendly, a plus.

There's a few pricey options in Westlake Village (Tuscany, Onyx, the restaurants at the Landing). You can also try Gorikee in Woodland Hills.

Cafe Provincial is amazing, authentic French food with a great atmosphere (Despite being in a strip mall) cafeprovencal.biz
