Globe Hotel - Red Bank,NJ

It was suggested to me that if I wanted the best hamburger in the area to go here. Any thoughts? I am not sure I trust the taste of the person who mentioned it and now I am craving a good burger! Although, I like the sound of the cheddar cheese sauce!!!

  1. I have friends who play hockey in Red Bank that will second that. I also have a co-worker who says they do however I have heard that Barnacle Bills does.

The Globe is ok but Barnacle Bill's is better in my opinion.

If Globe and Barnicle Bills were my only choices then I vote Barnicle Bills.

Globe is not a bad lunch at all though and you could do a lot worse.

      2. Barnacle Bill's gets my vote...can't be beat in that area.....

Best burger that I've had recently was at the Brickwall Tavern in Asbury. Also gat a real good one at lunchtime at Bay Avenur Trattoria in Highlands. IMO they were bother better than both the Globe and Barnacle Bills.

I can definitely say that the Brickwall Tavern is a great place to sit outside during the summertime with cocktails - we've actually enjoyed the hummus/cheese platter and their goat cheese quesadillas - however - their burger was simply just ok for me (and i totally love burgers!) also the chemically tasting "wonderbread" hamburger bun was a turnoff...

        2. No way. the absolute best burger near Red Bank is at the Bar at the Lincroft Inn @ RT. 520 and Middletown-Lincroft Rd.

          1. Ok to be totally honest with you - Globe has fantastic burgers and cheesesteaks - however - their service is AWFUL - we once waited over an hour for a couple burgers, cheesesteaks and salads - but once you get your food, the horrible service is soon forgotten.....
