Late Lunch Near the Opera House?

I'll be going this weekend to the Opera House (539 Washington St) with my mom, girlfriend, and 3 year-old niece. We're looking for a place to eat after the show, somewhere around 3:30-4:00. I'm really the only chowhound of the group, so I'm really looking for something that isn't total crap more than a chowish place. Obviously it needs to be kid-friendly, and within reasonable walking distance, as I don't feel like driving around the city and finding another place to park.

I think you should do afternoon tea at the Four Seasons. It will be the perfect companion to the Opera House and you will definitely impress the ladies with your sense of class. It's a short walk up Boylston. It's also the right food for that time of day, rather than apps or a meal somewhere...and their website specifically mentions child-friendly staff, so appropriate for the niece.

I've taken my 5 year old to Jacob Wirth's a few times, as well as my parents and grandmother. Never a complaint.

Remington's on Boylston St. is decent pub fare and open all day. Montien on Stuart St. might be open those hours, if Thai is okay. There's always PF Chang's and Rock City Brewery.

Avenue One in the Hyatt, Chau Chow City on Essex, Cancun Express (or is it called Burrito Express, can't remember, but it's quite decent counter-service Mex) on Bedford are all quite close.
