Hatfields: Two person, Two tasting menus, One wine pairing

Went to Hatfield's yesterday with my date.

Had their tasting menu wiith one wine pairing (split between us both, along with all 14 courses).

VERY good.

The "croque madame" was not as great as I was hoping (though still very good), but the Octopus appetizer was great and so was the Thai Snapper.

Most of the wines were good, but some of them felt like they were open for too long. Anywho.....

had no problems with their decor, as some others have mentioned not liking the white walls and lack of "things on the wall". I liked the space exactly the way it was.

Final total was $260 including tax/tip. Not something to be done weekly, but definitely a place to go to for a great dining experience.

It was a croque madame with hamach (my tasting menu had the same item).

    What was the octopus appetizer?

What was the Croque Madame? Was it a real Croque Madame? I mean a Croque Monsieur with an egg on it.
