Nigella's Clementine Cake

I was looking forward to making the clementine cake for aAssover, since it is flourless. However, it does contain baking powder, which contains cornstarch, which is a no-no during Passover.(Not really keen on looking for baking powder without cornstarch, which I understand is made for Passover)
So, can I make the cake without the baking powder? Will it really affect the cake?
Also, I know some have made the cake with meyer lemons. Do you think regular lemons would work?

  1. I have used baking soda mixed with cream of tartar in place of baking powder in a pinch and it worked well. I think I just googled 'substitutions' for a ratio.

    1. This cake is so dense, I can't imagine that leaving out the baking powder would make much of a difference. I say go ahead.
