Merlion in Chapel Hill

Urban2007 Mar 18, 2007 10:34 AM

Since it opened this has been our favorite Asian restaraunt in Chapel Hill. Went there friday night for the first time in a while and we were seriously disappointed: two dishes we had in the past--roti prata and the duck salad wrap--were way below their usual standards; the former was incredibly oily. A bad night or have things changed there for the worse recently? Suggestions for other dishes youve had there recently that have done the trick?

Last time we went (maybe 2 weeks ago?) they didn't have the nasi goreng (not the same as the Mee goreng, I realize) on the menu, but when we asked they were happy to make it for us. Just as great as ever. I did, however, once have a very bad, overly oily, laksa there. But overall we've had really good meals.
