Graduation/Last NYC meal

Hey all,

So my parents are coming to NYC for my graduation from post-grad and I want to take them somewhere really great. This will probably be my last nice dinner in the city for a while and I'll need it to tide me over for some months. If you had one last meal, where would it be? Tasting menus preferred.

Thanks!

    Hey guys,

Price range isn't really an issue on this one -- and I did score a 5:30 reservation at Per Se, but I'm not sure how much I want that to be my graduation meal given that I feel like I'll be able to do nothing but discuss the food. Plus, while I'm into food, my parents are just discovering what there is to offer. Which leads me to the last considerations -- cuisine. American, French, and Italian are probably the safest bets. My parents aren't too experienced in fine dining or exotic cuisines.

    Thanks!!1

Try Union Sq Cafe or Gramercy Tavern

I'd go with the tasting menu at Eleven Madison Park with the wine pairings. My parents took me for my birthday a few weeks ago, and we were all blown away. I'm still salivating whenever I think about it...

Per se hands down. But, it's so difficult to get a reservation. Other also include Danube, Daniel and Babbo (pasta tasting).

It will be more helpful if you can narrow down the selections by cuisine, price range, and any other preferences. There are so many restaurants worth going in NYC that without more details it will be difficult to suggest.

Yes, we need parameters definitely. If price were not an issue, I would choose Veritas as my final NYC meal.
