Teodora or Jubilee?
We will be having dinner in midtown on Thursday night - which would you suggest?
I also have not been to Jubilee but have been to Teodora many times and love the food. My absolutes are the eggplant and zucchini lasagna for an app and seafood pasta with long ribbons pasta substituted for the egg noodles. Portions are large and delicious.
Jubilee is good, but the atmosphere was a little dull. Teodora has a bit more light to it and excellent pasta. A plus for me is that vitello tonnato is on the regular menu. I had it for the first time a few days ago - a plate layered with small, thin pieces of cold veal, topped with a fine tonnato sauce and a healthy portion of thinly-sliced asparagus and tips. Lemony and bright tasting. A friend had the pasta special: bucatini alla matriciana and it was delicious. Another friend had another special: roasted salmon and potatoes with sauteed greens. I didn't taste the salmon, but it looked gorgeous - encrusted with lots of seasonings - but the potatoes were salty and crisp outside and creamy inside. We had no appetizers or desserts, due to time constraints. Lunch and one glass of wine for each of us, totalled $33 each, before tip.
