I've been to Kitanoya Guu With Garlic on Robson St and now I want to try the other two (Kitanoya Guu Original Izakaya on Thurlow or Kitanoya Guu With Otokomae on Water St.)
Have you done all three, Are they different? Which one next?

The Water Street location - has a fantastic menu (different from Garlic Guu) great service and CLEAN! Some menu highlight are: beef kakbob, pan fried noodles, tsukemono (home made), grilled rice balls and the desserts. Their daily specials are always a good bet.

Depends how adventurous you are - the Thurlow location is very dirty, much noisier, very litte english is spoken and the service is far from great....however the food is fantastic.

My first pick is Garlic, then Water Street, the Thurlow.

Hope this helps.

Guu with Garlic. Hands down, more consistent and most extensive menu.

I like the Water St. location. It is more spacious and the atmosphere is more comfortable for me. The food from all 3 locations are great.

Guu with Garlic, definitely. For selection. The atmosphere at Water St is nicer, but the food experience is better at Guu.

Thanks for the advice.
My youngest is in a wheelchair so that rules out Water Street.
Looks like it's garlic on Robson.
Thanks

Whatever you do GO EARLY! There is always a crazy line up! I would call ahead and specify that you need a wheelchair friendly table so that they can prepare and reserve it for you before you arrive.
