Lobster Bakes, Potluck Suppers, etc. in Conn.

I'd love to tour some of Connecticut's best local lobster bakes, potluck suppers, fish fries, barbecues, etc. this coming spring and summer. Does anyone have nominations for some really good ones? I'm talking about events sponsored by churches, fraternal organizations, service clubs or other civic organizations.

The Felician Sisters on Enfield Street in Enfield are holding their very popular yearly Polish Supper this Saturday, 3/24 from 3pm to 7pm. Best to get there early because they usually run out!

Essex does an annual shad bake in late spring. This year it's June 2.

Canton, CT has a lobsterfest in August, put on by the fire department. It's a hoot.
