Hyde Park suggestions?
Nor'easter or no Nor'easter, I'm going to see a show at Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park (45 Fairmount Avenue) on Friday night. Can anyone recommend some good restaurants nearby? Show is at 8 pm.
Someone asked the same question on this list, but that was about 5 years ago, so I'm hoping there are more options now. Thanks!

Hyde Park doesn't have a lot to choose from, but if you want to stay near the theater you can try Rincon Caribeno, right across the street form the theater. They have a very nice paella, but it is cooked to order so it takes a while. Also their English is not too good, but they are friendly. They do have beer (and I think wine). A 2-minute walk around the corner on River St. is Master McGrath's Pub, for decent pub grub (burgers, wings, fish & chips, etc.) friendly bar staff. I like Master McGraths. There is an African restaurant on Hyde Park Ave, right in Cleary Sq that i have not tried, but am curious about. Also plenty of store-front type Chinese and Pizza places. I'd skip Dempsey's bar.

I'd say that your best bet is to have dinner in nearby Roslindale (Village Sushi, Gusto, Sophia's Grotto, Delfino) or Jamaica Plain (Centre Street Cafe, Costello's, Dogwood Cafe, Zon's, Wonder Spice, Bukhara, Ten Tables, Doyle's, JP Seafood, El Oriental De Cuba), because there are relatively few choices in Hyde Park. Both neighborhoods are about 5-10 minutes away by car.
