Going to Beacon tomorrow night.

I have never beem to Beacon and lookig forward to having dinner and wine. Can someone recommend anything in particular on the menu?

The portions for the miso cod is pretty small, although green beans come with it as well.

I really liked their udon with braised pork bellies.

I really enjoy their tuna pizza. I think it's the best appetizer on their menue

I've eaten there a number of times and pretty much everything is good except the green bean salad, there's probably another name for it. Green beans need to be properly cooked, not left mostly raw. And their raw fish is just ok.

I don't know if they still have it, but the Mushroom salad is utterly awesome.

I miss working in Culver City and all the good restaurants within walking distance =(

I love their mushroom salad! I also always order the avocado salad (beautiful presentation and very refreshing), yaki udon (has a bit of kimchee in it for a flavor boost), and the Beacon roll (non-nori roll with salmon, crab, avocado, and ponzu jelly); if you go at night try the Kaki Fry (fried oysters). Also not on the menu are the flavored sakes, they are good but you pay $$$ (about $12 each).

I haven't tried it but I've heard that the upscale Ring Ding (like a Ding Dong) is very good.

I really like the miso cod although its a smaller portion so you may want to get an appetizer. Also the flat iron steak is very good.

I second the Miso Cod, it is my favorite.

Also really good in the bento box for lunch, thought our waiter recommended I have the burger next time.
