I know some apples are better for pie than others--but if the pie will be served with cheese, (NOT ice cream or whipped cream), does it matter which apple goes into the pie? Any opinions on spices in this pie? Thank you!
I agree with a tart apple when serving it with cheese. The saltiness of the cheese offsets the tartness of the apple. A bake shop I used to go to would serve it with some unsweetened whipped cream. Yum!
