Wine near Branzino Philly?

My husband and I are coming in for a kamikaze visit to Philly next week (concert, Tut, brunch) and we're considering dinner at Branzino before a Kimmel Center event. Since it's a BYOB and we're relying on public transportation (and our feet), I'm hoping that someone can recommend a place to buy a decent bottle of wine before dinner. Will the state package store at 1913 Chestnut St have what we want, or will we have to go farther afield? Thanks for your help!

That store should be fine depending on what you are looking for.

Be aware that they have a limited selection of chilled white wine in a fridge at the state stores. But a larger selection of "premium collection" (better wines) in the back of the store are kept at cellar (55-60 degree) temps.

If you hope to go to Branzino on a weekend evening, make a reservation. They are often filled. Also, we like to go there at 5:30 for an 8 o'clock performance. They make things to order, and 6:00 can sometimes be a little tight, especially if you want coffee and/or dessert. You are only a couple of blocks from the Kimmel Center there.
Sorry, can't help with the wine.
