Phoenix Pastificio Rustic Olive Bagette

saw this amazing looking bagette at the Berkeley Farmer's Market today - had to try it.
the loaves were still warm as I tore off a chunk to taste .... great crust and probably the best tasting olives that I've encountered in a olive bread. $3.75. pretty yummy.

As of a few weeks ago, they started showing up at the Sunday Temescal farmer's market as well.

They're also at the Saturday Oakland farmer's market (Grand Lake).

Oh you poor thing...you are just discovering this.
I kid...it's pretty great stuff, but a bit dangerous. I can't really seem to buy any and have it make the car-ride home intact.
Just a heads up: their pecan chocolate chewies are one of my favorite cookies around.

yummm! I love those olive baguettes. And to get them warm too... <drool>

I'm glad that you can still buy them at farmer's market even though the restaurant on shattuck closed down.

The shop is still open, in a different location. You can buy that outstanding bread literally out of the oven every day.
