I wanna try one. I am a lover of everything bagels if they are done right. Can't go wrong with just a plain bagel but I would like to be a little bit more adventurous. What is the best bagel variety in your opinion from H and h?
I'm partial to poppy, myself.
Sourdough, no question
The Everything bagel, when nice and warm, is the best.
There is no such thing as a good bagel from H&H. They are bad "bread" bagels that only became famous because they are next to Zabars.
I usually do what Selizara suggested, but I also love the onion!
I love the whole wheat and the everything and the oat bran bagels from H&H-best when hot out of the oven-
Just stick your hand up to the plastic and buy whichever kind is warm. It's your best indication of a fresh one.
Use the plain variety as your baseline, then move on to sesame, poppy, pumpernickel... why not try them all and come to an (un)scientific conclusion!
Everything has good turnover so they're almost always fresh. I think the pumpernickel sit around longer.
The Whole Wheat are pretty good. I'm not a fan of H&H Cinnamon raisin.
