Lebanese Deli/Take Out?

Any place to buy authentic spinach pies, kibbeh, meat pies, etc?

  1. D'Vine Taste, on 7th Ave. in Park Slope. It's my favorite neighborhood store, great owners (a Lebanese family), delicious food. The fresh fig treats (figs imported from Lebanon) are amazing.

    1. Damascus offers Syrian versions of the types of food you're looking for. Sahadi's also offers these as well and is Lebanese, but Damascus is first and foremost a bakery.

if you are in Queens vs. Brooklyn, the middle eastern store on 43rd & 43rd (SE corner) is Lebanese i believe -- at least they serve what i consider to the "Lebanese" garlic spread on their very inexpensive chicken sandwich. and lots of good things there in general.

i love that Damascus sells the same/similar Lebanese garlic spread.

and i also love D'vine Taste, which has some of the fines nut-roll (finger) baklava i've had.

I'm pretty sure NativeNYer is coming from Manhattan, and I would not recommend coming to Queens. That store is a disgrace for a Lebanese place IMO - very dirty looking. I would much prefer Damascus bakery.
Bread & Olive in Manhattan makes pretty good spinach pies, cheese and meat pies. I like their goat cheese bread.

      2. The Family Store is in a class by itself.

        Laila, item B here:
It's a restaurant, but has great takeout. I've never had labnee that's anywhere close to theirs.
