The Shamrock Shake

Does it still exist? I went to a McD's yesterday on West Irving Park and they didn't have them.

Have they gone the way of the dinosaur?

If you are really lucky and find a willing McD's employee--you have to get them to mix 1/2 Shamrock and 1/2 Chocolate. It tastes like a Fannie May Meltaway!

I don't know what they taste like, but the McD's in the Illinois Center (225 Michigan Av) has them.

Chowhound team - what was wrong with the posts in this topic that were here yesterday discussing whether the Shamrock Shake was chow-worthy? Seems like a reasonable chowhound topic.

I don't know, but there is a similar discussion topic in the Chains forum:

My mom says they have them near her (Southern NJ) - but was quite disappointed that they were merely green, and not mint. Did they used to be mint? I didn't see any sign on the McD's closest to me (Milwaukee and Western).

I didn't order it, but saw a sign for them at the McD's near me in Fox Lake. And I know I've seen signs for them at other McD's, at least in the northern burbs.
