Dreaming of teriyaki in MSP...

Anyone here formerly from the West Coast that knows what I mean when I'm talking about those teriyaki places that seem like they're in every strip mall? And they usually serve chicken, beef, vegetables, rice or noodles, and sometimes a few other things (pot stickers, egg rolls), but usually very simple and around $6-$7 for a great cheap meal? Is there any place like this in the Twin Cities?

Other than the ocean, inexpensive seafood, and good pizza-by-the-slice places, this is the one thing I really, really miss.

Yes , you're in luck . Zen Box, in the skyway in the Quebec Bldg, very close to the
Wells Fargo Bank Bldg at 6th and Marquette. Great chicken teriyaki and other stuff.
    lunch only.

Naah, nothing like the mall food courts. You're right - they're okay but nothing I'd seek out.

The only place I've seen something like this in the TC metro area is in mall food courts, and they weren't very good (not bad for mall food court food, though). Hope I'm wrong!

I just returned from a business trip in the Seattle area and really enjoyed a place called Teriyaki Madness in Kirkland. My coworker and I were wondering why we don't have these places in MSP. Doesn't it seem like these sorts of places would be very viable in our market?
