cape cod suggestions(open now)
Here are my picks for the best restaurants on the Cape:
In Dennis--Gracie's Table-a tapas style restaurant
In Dennis-Blue Moon Cafe
In Yarmouth-Abbicci-upscale italian
In Orleans-Nauset Beach Club-upscale Italian
Most of the above restaurants are probably open only for dinner however. If you want a terrific breakfast spot try The Red Cottage in South Dennis.
A lot of Cape restaurants haven't opened yet for the season
We like Cape Sea Grille in Harwich (not sure if it's open now) and 902 Main on Rt. 28 in Yarmouth (pretty sure it's open all year). Also Abba and Academy Ocean Grille in Orleans (Abba is quite eclectic). We also very much enjoyed Twenty-eight Atlantic at the Wequassett Inn on 28 on the Harwich/Chatham border. Since it is in a hotel it should be open year round. Have heard good things about Ocean House in Dennisport but have never been. We LOVE the Cape, have a great time!
Other additions - for lunch you can try Land Ho in Orleans (down the street from the Christmas Tree Shop!) and The Squire in Chatham. I've heard that Grumpy's is the place to go for breakfast (not sure where it is - 6A in Brewster or Dennis?). Also for a unique experience you can go to the cafe at the airport in Chatham for breakfast. People rave about it. I think it is called the Cloud 9 cafe or something like that.
Lacatlin, most of the places you mention are closed now includng Academy Grill, Ocean House and Sea Grill. All great choices. Blue Moon is open and is so so. Same with Gracie's Table, great bar but cold and dark in the dining room. Abbicci is lovely but way overpriced IMHO for the food. Service is wonderful. The valet service is silly and the lines to wait to park on 6A will surely cause an accident someday.
Agree with Phelana's comments. Keltic Kitchen on 28 in So. Yarmouth serves up decent b'fasts. Aviod Percy's Place like the plague! I really like Brewster Fish House on 6A for a superior lunch. Land Ho is fun as a local color kind of place but is standard pub grub and nothing special. Abbicci is a better choice for lunch, IMO, than for dinner.
