I'm trying to plan a bridal shower for 30 and this restaurant came up as an option. Any thoughts/opinions on food (is it authentic?) & ambiance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I just drove by this place a few days ago. I never knew it existed. As far as I knew, Wondee in Hackensack was the only real Thai in the area. My husband is Thai and even he didn't know about it. I walked in to get a menu. They told me they have been there for 3 years.

There doesn't appear to be much ambiance. From my quick glance, it looked to be a typical tacky Thai joint with not much decor. It is in the back of a house, with a small sign out front that you surely will miss if you go too fast. Very difficult to find.

I am sure it will be lovely for a bridal shower. It is not quaint at all, if that is what you are looking for. It looks sort of like a hole in the wall Chinese food place, but bigger....if you kinda imagine. The prices looked very reasonable. So if the people attending this shower aren't stuck up- I say go for it! I probably wouldn't throw a shower here myself though. And I am not stuck up. Well..not too stuck up! LOL.

We we eat there someday I am sure, as dear husband can not go too long without his fix- and it is far closer than Hackensack. I will report back with his critique when we do.

I have a suggestion. I noticed a Thai place opening up in East Rutherford. It is not open yet, so I can not give you details. It is on the same street as Taos (what is that Hackensack Street?). It looks very nice! If it is Thai that you want, check this out...depending on when the event is. It looks like it could be authentic, unlike Spring Grill in Rutherford. We'll see.

    Enjoy the shower!
