Market or Paradise Grille

  • 6

The two restaurants are located in virutally the same space. I can't decide where to lay the scrilla for a date next saturday.

Apparently they have a new 'bar and lounge menu' over at market. Good food for some of us hitting a few wines.

But i still like the atmosphere/decour at the Paradise. Opinions?

  1. I have not been to Paradise Grill, but Market is a winner.

Definitely request the dining room at Market, and double check. Not that the bar area is bad, but some seats are a bit crammed in. I haven't heard about the bar menu - is the main menu still available if you get seated in the bar?

In any case, if the Kobe flat iron is on the menu I can strongly recommend it.

    Good luck.

    1. Especially for a date, I would second the choice of Market. I haven't eaten at Paradise Grill, but I have seen it, and I think the atmosphere and food at Market are generally better overall.

        1. this one's easy---Market all the way!!!

          1. I have been to both and Market is far superior to Paradise in both food and atmosphere.

            1. i laughed when i read scrilla. my buddy always calls it that. must be a SF thing?

anyways, paradise is tight. if you are younger, which i assume you are since you say scrilla, i would def recommend that. it is a good looking crowd, if you feel me, and there are tv's so you can watch sports among other things..... they have a good happy hour menu too. nothing against the older crowd...... i went with my girl last week. she loved it too. im 32, shes 28.
the drinks were a little on the watery side though?
