Any recent experiences with Blackhawk Grill, Amber Bistro or Bridges Restaurant in Danville? Also any recs in the Dublin area?

I usually don't go to the East Bay that much, so any info would be appreciated.

Yes, I did do a search, but nothing was that recent.

Amber Grill was very good the night that we tried it. Be aware that it is very noisy. Bridges is highly overrated and has extremely snotty waitstaff and a very overpriced wine list. Not much but chains in Dublin with the exception of McNamaras on San Ramon Valley. That is an upscale steakhouse which has a great atmosphere and good food, n ic wine list. The service is good also. Other suggestions would be Staceys at Waterford in Dublin or Patrick Davids in Danville.

A friend lives around the corner from Blackhawk Grill and that is her favorite spot for a nice dinner in the area. The food is decent, the setting and service are good, and there is a large variety. For something that I think is a little more chowhoundish, you could try Cafe Esin: http://www.cafeesin.com/id21.htm I enjoyed it the time that I was there.

Good suggestion. I forgot about Cafe Esin. The desserts are fabulous!

You might consider Wente in Livermore

But I choose Cafe Esin again and again. Cruise the dessert case on arrival because it is filled with good choices. I'm happier with something other than beef dishes there.

Another vote for Cafe Esin. Save room for dessert. Heard they are moving, not sure when.
