Was in Puerto Rico recently and was served plaintain fries, which look like regular french fries. They were delicious! Anyone know of a place that serves these in NYC?

  1. Are you sure it was plantain fries? When plantains are served fried it's usually in the form of tostones (smashed disks of plantains).
The fries you speak of sound a bit like "Nuevo Latino" fare.
I know that some places serve yuca (cassava) fries.
    Good luck
