Every time I go to this one vegetarian restaurant, I always end up getting the same thing. It's just so good. I'd love to make it at home but I don't have much experience cooking stir fries and need some advice.

The menu calls it something like "tofu and mixed vegetables with lemon, soy sauce, and sesame." It never tastes very lemony, and is sprinkled with so many sesame seeds (mmmm!) that I don't know if it really has much sesame oil in it at all. I would imagine that it has garlic and ginger in it but I'm not sure.

OK. so I know how to fry the tofu and cook the vegetables--I'm just at a loss about how to season the dish. I was thinking about cooking the tofu & vegetables and then just sprinkling it all with a little lemon, soy, and sesame oil until it tastes good. Can someone suggest a better technique/recipe that includes lemon, soy, and sesame?

Make a sauce out of soy (1Tbsp), sesame oil (1tsp), vegetable stock (1/2 cup) and lemon juice (1tsp) and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Of course, adjust to your taste. Set aside.

Stir fry some garlic and ginger, then add veg and tofu. Pour sauce over and stir fry to combine. Make a slurry of cornstarch and white wine (or veg. stock) and make a well in center of tofu/veg mixture. Pour in slurry and stir fry until thickened.

I'm wondering if something was lost in translation at the restaurant. Is it an Asian restaurant? Could the lemon ingredient really be lemon grass?
