Help! only a night to dine-need classic philly

Hi,

I would love a classic philly restaurant with good food, service and ambiance, preferably Italian.
Don't know when I'll be back so I want to have an awesome all around dining experience.
Not too fancy or stuffy. Fun and good.

I always liked La Famiglia Ristorante.

Reservations would be tough at Vetri or his new site: Osteria, but both would fit your critera.

La Croix on Rittenhouse Square not Italian, but has the rest of the attributes with a beautiful view--not stuffy.

I liked Paradiso in South Philly, on Passyunk I believe for classic Italian, upscale, different, but surely not stuffy. I also like Scannicio's on a corner of Broad and somewhere way South. Those are my two contributions for Italian. Enjoy!

hmmm I would rather go to the duck house at 9th and vine.... best wontons in the soup I have ever had.... better than my chinatown NY or SF experiences. The boss is Kwok great guy.
