Expanding Just One
I don't know if this has been addressed already, but when I'm viewing a thread, I'd love the option to just expand one or two of the collapsed replies instead of expanding them all. Often if there's a new reply to a thread, it's responding to a previous comment, and I'd like to see what it's replying to. Expanding all gets me lost on long threads, but I'd love the option to pick just the one I'd like to expand.

To add to what Tony mentioned--clicking anywhere inside the bar that remains of a collapsed post should expand it, not just the name.

re: tony michaels
Really? Does it work for you, for example, for the first two replies in this thread? I must click directly in the text of "tony michaels Mar 10, 2007" or "Jacquilynne Mar 10, 2007" in order to expand those posts, whereas, as Jacquilynne suggests, I may click anywhere within the bar of "ahr Mar 10, 2007 re: Jacquilynne --^" including the white space, in order to expand that post.
You can tell that something is clickable because the default pointer cursor turns into a little hand.

re: ahr
Ahr. Right you are. I run IE 7.0 and Firefox and normally always access the site (and do just about everything else online) using Firefox. I just tried IE and it only opens up the collapsed posts if I click directly on the posters handle/name. Who knew? Thanks for clarifying the issue.
