You have a couple of options... The Slanted Door - but very hard to get reservations (good food, AWESOME view.)

There's also Le Colonial. Reservations are easy to get. Use Opentable.com. I love the food and the decor here. Located in Union Square area.

There's Bong Su, located in SOMA. Very new and very pretty inside. Food is ok, more of a fusion between Vietnamese and Chinese.

There's also Crustacean and Thanh Long, both owned by the An Family (www.anfamily.com) and they are known for the roasted crab. Just OK food, but still an option.

There are tons of other options, but these are the only one's I've tried. Good luck.

Recent reports here on Crustacan and Thanh Long are pretty uniformly negative.

The other option is Ana Mandara. There have been mixed reviews, but the executive chef there is highly regarded though and the atmosphere is nice.

Bong Su is fusion with Chinese? That's incorrect. It's regional upscale Viet food as indicated on the menu. The owners are from the Vung Tau restaurant family.

Skip Thanh Long and Crustacean, those are one trick ponies.

More like zero-trick ponies these days.
