Momiji Sushi Bar & Grill - Kingsway

Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone has tried this fairly new place on the Kingsway in Etobicoke? Momiji Sushi Bar & Grill (formerly Harvey's) , it's located on Bloor West just east of Royal York on the south side.

  1. Yes, I always forget the name. We've been there about 3 or 4 times. I think they're the best in the area (except for Kaji of course). Clean, fresh, dect hot menu as well. And even has some parking. I would recommend checking it out.

    1. Never been - in that area I usually go to Gojima, which is on Bloor a little east of Islington, which I love. But thanks for the tip.

      1. Thanks for the info, we were planning on going with friends on Saturday but we went with Turkish instead...we will definitely try out Momiji's sometime though.

        1. I like the Turkish as well...Anatolia?

          1. Yes Anatolia...very good food and excellent service.

            1. its delicious :D
              You should definitely go!

              1. Love this place! The only thing that bugs me is the price but for a sushi craving close to where I live, it hits the spot. The fish is very fresh.

I love momiji too! Fish is always fresh; service is good.

My husband and I go about 2-3x per month, try something new on the menu almost every time and are always pleased. The yaki soba grilled meat platter is our current favourite!

If you have a chance to go to one of their special nights (with cocktails, seemingly-endless set menu, and entertainment), don't miss it! We went to one night about a year ago; the food was very good and a great jazzy band.

                2. Although it is a bit expensive than some of the Bloor St sushi places, I like Momiji because the fish is very fresh and the food is yummy.

                  1. The Clarkson Momiji was always my sushi standby when I lived in that area; seems they've met with continued success lately, too, because they've expanded to a second adjacent storefront in the plaza that they're in.

I was at the Royal York one a couple of weeks ago, too, and was pleased. The salmon was the standout; the hamachi was lacking (kinda mealy) but generally the quality was good. Lunch menu a very good value; some of my tablemates got the tempura bento and there was a ton of food. I'd recommend it.
