Go to Black Hound on 2nd Avenue and 11th St. The have a variety of wonderful chocolate cakes, and traditional rolled (non-filled) truffles.

Hmm...You said "Bakery", but if I was really craving chocolate, I would go to Jacques Torres chocolate shop on Hudson...Was there this week...They had some killer looking chocolate chunk cookies and brownies, besides all the rest of the great chocolate offerings...

Not dark chocolate, but very intense: the brooklyn blackout cake (they have a cupcake size and regular cake as well) at Two Little Red Hens (86th and 2nd, plus a Park Slope location at 8th and 12th). Chocolate cake, chocolate pudding filling, chocolate cream frosting...make sure you eat it at room temperature, with a big glass of milk. Mmm.

Try Kyotofu. I was there this week and had a chocolate souffle cupcake and small dense chocolate round thingy. The latter was great, but I don't remember the name. Very rich and delicious. I only had half of each and was more than fulfilled.

I think you're talking about the "Mini Miso Choco Cake?" It's really decadent and delicious! I've just went there a few days ago.
