Uptown Brunch

Ciao Hounds,

For reasons I won't bore you with, I'm hosting Sunday brunch for six.

I would normally go downtown - Balthazar would be my very first choice. But I'm constrained by soccer and hockey (you don't wanna know!) to have it uptown, either UWS or UES.

Any suggestions for uptown places that could compare with Balthazar, Five Points, Pastis, etc?

Gracias,

- Sean

Enthusiastically second the reco for Telepan - it's fantastic. Here's a post I did on my brunch there...http://www.chowhound.com/topics/355701

Nice Matin is a good choice and if it doesn''t need to be French...Isabella's serve a decent brunch as well.
