Baby Friendly Italian?

Anyone have a recommendation for an authentic italian joint that wouldn't scoff if we brought along a 6 month old? We don't mind going early... if that makes the crowd more accomodating. Boston is good, but we're in Arlington, so things in our area would be great to know about, too.

Thanks so much!

We're in Arlington too, and we just went to Antico Forno in the North End with our 8 month old. They are very accomodating with children - there were tons of kids there (granted it was early). We just take the T from Alewife, but I think there's cheap parking in that garage by Haymarket. As far as near Arlington, our friends have taken their baby to Restaurant Olivio, but I've been afraid to go there because it has white tablecloths, and that's what I use as my gauge. Also I've been wondering if Vinny's at Night in Somerville would be appropriate with a baby but I've never been there so it's hard to tell.

not sure what you mean by "authentic", but if you can go off-peak, i'd give neptune oyster a shot. the menu is very creative with an extremely talented chef. the owners' daughter is frequently running around, so i'm sure they can handle your baby!
