Carrillo's Tortilleria-Thanks Carter

Just had lunch at this Canoga Park spot and its now my favorite Valley mexican spot. First I started with a cup of Jamaiica and munched on their fresh chips while waiting for my food, great red salsa as well as a salsa bar where you can have the grilled onions which I love, carrots, green salsa and a dark salsa too, so good. Then our food came and we over ordered since these portions are huge. I had a pork tamale which comes on a big plate by itself and then I had a Fish Taco and a Pastor Taco both on homemade corn tortillas, delicious. My buddy had a chicken Torta, this Torta looked tastier then that Torta King spot in Studio City and he had a tamale & taco too, way to much food.

I will return!

The original Carillo's is in San Fernando. I get dozens of tamales from them every christmas.One year I forgot to order them in time for my annual holiday party and my guests almost rioted!

I just went here the other day for my first time and got the fajitas and they werent very good =0(

Fajitas are about the last thing I would order there.
Rellenos, carnitas, anything made with their fresh hand-made tortillas would be better suggestions of representative food.

Save the Fajitas for El Torito, Carrillo's has some of the best Carnitas etc... in the valley and If you want really great carne asada, very good Pozole' and albondigas head over to Dos arboletos
