Port Deposit, MD Restaurants

Any good recommendations for restaurants within 15 - 20 minutes of Port Deposit in Maryland. Open to any kind of cuisine. Staying at the Riverfront Conference Center and want to explore culinary choices nearby. Thanks.

That's such a strange little town, Port Deposit. There's a place we used to go to that's right in town, right on the river, in that condo community. I THINK it was called Tome's Landing, or something similar. It was situated right between the railroad tracks and the river. I know the owners also owned a restaurant in Lancaster. We'd go there sometimes in the summer months, more for the outdoor dining experience than for the food, although the food was fairly good, and they'd let you order off the lunch menu at dinner time, if you preferred that.

I'm not at all familiar with the Riverfront Conference Center -- wonder if that's at the same location that I'm referring to.

Woody's Crab House on Main Street in North East Maryland. Great crab cakes, onion rings, fish platters, and a decent selection of brews. There is an oyster/steak house down the street from Woody's that might be worth trying. It's a nice little town to wander around in. It's about 12 miles north east of I-95.
