Hi-- I am looking for a moderately priced restaurant to take my teenagers to on Saturday night before an event on 4th Ave between 12th and 13th.

They like American food, red-sauce Italian, Chinese-- nothing too adventurous, but good and not too pricey.

Thanks in advance!

PS-- Can be anywhere around there-- maybe a 6- 8 block radius-- since we'll also have an elderly grandma with us.

Patsy's pizza is a few blocks west on University and although there are some dissenters about this mini-chain, it really is great pizza. Everyone who I bring to it love it.

I would say Stand which is 12th near 4th, it's right behind Union Square basically. It's burgers, fries and delicious milkshakes! Cocktails for adults and food for the kids that they will like.

You could also consider The Knickerbocker on University & 9th, which has a large menu that includes hamburgers - and everything is very good.

Piola is on 12th b/t Bway & University (a little walk) but it's got a great selection of personal pizzas (over 50 to choose from I think) and good pastas & salads. For some reason, it's never that crowded. Decent wine / drink list for the adults.
