Brunch on a friday, near UofT, open at 10am?

I'm looking for a place to have brunch within walking distance of UofT (downtown) south side of campus near College on a friday. We have 2hrs to eat including travel time.

I wanted to go to Cafe la Gaffe but just realized they don't open until 11:45am.
I'm a little worried that Auntie and Uncles' slow service will not allow us enough time.
I would also like to avoid Dim Sum in Chinatown.

Anywhere near Baldwin Village and great.
I'm willing to walk to Yonge and College area. (except not Golden Griddle)
Mid-Campus is fine - i.e. around Harbord, Willcocks.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

If you're willing to walk to Church & Carlton (one block east of Yonge & College/Carlton), you'll find Daybreak. The food there is great and inexpensive, and the atmosphere is bright and cheerful. It's definitely open early on weekdays, as early as 8 I think.

What about the Gallery Grill in Hart House (University of Toronto grounds). was there a few years ago and it was very nice...you should call to make a reservation though

What about Dessert Trends? It's at Harbord and Brunswick (169 Brunswick), not sure if that's too far out of your way. They open at 9AM and have a great challah french toast. I've been told their quiches are also very good.
